Step 4: Load the Firmware

Step 5: Flash the Device

Once the firmware is loaded and the device is connected: Newer tools require

  1. Click the "Upgrade" button.
  2. Do not touch the device or disconnect the USB cable.
  3. You will see a progress bar filling up. Once it completes, a "Upgrade Done" message will appear.

The device will likely reboot automatically. You can safely close the tool.


Method A: Normal Upgrade (Device in Loader Mode)

  1. Connect the device to your PC via USB.
  2. Enter Loader Mode – usually by holding the "Reset" button (or shorting two pins) while plugging in the USB.
  3. Launch RK Android Tool v2.3.9 as Admin.
  4. The tool should show "Found One LOADER Device" in the status bar.
  5. Click "..." and select your firmware file (update.img).
  6. Click "Upgrade".
  7. Wait 3-5 minutes. The progress bar will move twice (first writing system, then verifying).
  8. After "Upgrade Done OK!", disconnect the device and reboot.
