I’m With You / I’m Beside You – Officially Released B-Sides (2011-2013)

This era is unique: 17 songs were recorded, 14 on IWY, and the other 9 released as I’m Beside You (vinyl B-sides).
So no unreleased material from this era – all circulating songs are official.

But one truly unreleased track exists:

"How It Grows" – mentioned by Klinghoffer. Never surfaced. Acoustic demo only.

The Blood Sugar Sex Magik B-Sides & Outtakes (1991)

The mansion sessions (The Mansion, Hollywood) were famously prolific. We know the official B-sides like "Soul to Squeeze" and "Search and Destroy" (Iggy Pop cover). But deeper cuts remain unreleased: red hot chili peppers discografia unreleased

"Sikamikanico" – Yes, it appeared on the Wayne’s World soundtrack, but it was recorded during these sessions. However, an extended 6-minute version exists with a rap by Kiedis about early ’90s club culture. That version has never been officially released.
"Nothin’ to Lose" – A beautiful, melancholic acoustic piece with Frusciante on lead vocals (one of the few times). The chorus goes, "I’ve got nothin’ to lose but my mind." It remains on a DAT tape in Rick Rubin’s storage.
"The Organic Anti-Beat Box Band" (Alternate) – The released version is a wild funk workout. The unreleased version features a 2-minute drum solo by Chad Smith and a scat-singing trade-off between Kiedis and Flea.

Most tantalizing: a full cover of The Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog” recorded in one take. It’s faster, dirtier, and includes a ripped speaker solo. Rubin loved it, but legal clearance stalled indefinitely.

The Greatest Lost Album: Greatest Hits Sessions (2003)

Here’s the paradox. When the band recorded for their Greatest Hits album, they created four new songs. Two made it: Fortune Faded and Save the Population. The other two?

These are arguably the finest unreleased RHCP tracks of the Frusciante return era. Leverage of Space features a chord progression that sounds like Baroque melancholy meets punk-funk. Frusciante’s backing vocals soar into a register he never used elsewhere. The band played them live exactly five times in 2004, then shelved them.

Why? Kiedis later said the lyrics felt "too personal about a breakup that was already healed." To this day, studio versions exist only on a hard drive in Flea’s basement. Fans have reconstructed them from live FM broadcasts, but we’ve never heard the real mix.

Confirmed Unreleased Studio Recordings:

"Soul to Squeeze" – Wait, this was a Coneheads B-side. Actually released (1993). Not unreleased.
"Search and Destroy" (Stooges cover) – Studio version exists but unreleased. Only live versions circulate.
"Little Miss Lover" (Hendrix) – Recorded but unreleased.
"I Found Out" (John Lennon) – Full studio take, unreleased.
"Fela’s Cock" – Unfinished jam with lyrics. Bootleg title.
"The Title Track" – Instrumental funk jam, 8 minutes.

The band recorded ~28 songs. 16 made album. I’m With You / I’m Beside You –
