Since its launch at Festival De Cannes in 2003, Cinando has become the premier online network for film professional, designed to help them navigate the film industry. The platform offers a number of different networking tools. It also allows filmmakers to upload films and trailers for industry viewing. To ensure quality streaming and secure video playback, Cinando uses SHIFT72s cloud video APIs to power ingestion and playback. To expand on this relationship with Cinando, we have now also built new video apps for their Cinando Video Library (VL) offering.

"We required streaming quality to a level of Netflix or iTunes, SHIFT72 we the perfect company to deliver on this."
Jérôme Paillard, Executive Director at Marché Du Film, Festival De Cannes

Cinando VL takes the Cinando offering and turns it into an online video platform that is specifically designed to cater to the needs of film festivals around the globe. It allows film festivals to launch their own fully-branded secure online screening room, effectively creating a larger window for viewing opportunities. It creates another avenue for film sellers to showcase their films to potential buyers and industry professionals and allows these members to access and watch films across multiple devices at their own convenience.

Already, Cinando VL is used at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, including Festival De Cannes, Warsaw Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the San Sebastián International Film Festival. At these festivals, a large number of film sellers are premiering their films in theatres, which means film buyers are limited as to when they can watch films. Cinando VL dissolves this limitation.

The new Cinando VL app was released in time for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in early September 2018. The first release is for iOS devices, with Android compatibility soon to follow.

1. Executive Summary

Pakistan Television (PTV) is widely regarded as having produced the "Golden Age" of Pakistani television drama (roughly 1967–2000). Unlike modern serials which often rely on lengthy episodes and sensationalism, old PTV dramas were characterized by literary scripts, limited episode counts (usually 13–26), and strong character arcs. This report repacks the vast library into digestible categories for easy reference.

1. The Content (The Pro)

This is the strongest selling point. A typical "Old Repack" list usually contains the masterpieces that made PTV famous globally.

Pros and Cons Summary

| Pros | Cons | | :--- | :--- | | Nostalgia: Contains rare and unavailable dramas. | Video Quality: Grainy, SD quality (not HD). | | Completeness: Full series without missing episodes. | Audio Issues: Some files may have low volume or static. | | Convenience: Plug-and-play on Smart TVs (USB). | Unofficial: No subtitles, no fancy menus. | | Price: Very cheap per hour of entertainment. | Seller Dependence: Quality depends on the specific vendor. | sharing copyrighted material without permission. However

Part 7: How to Access and Engage with the Repack Community

For the uninitiated, finding a reliable, virus-free "PTV Drama List Old Repack" can be daunting. The landscape has shifted from public torrent sites (many have been shut down) to more private, curated spaces.

A Warning: Many websites promising "PTV Old Drama List Free Download" are laden with malware, survey scams, or fake links. The safest method is to join a community and request a verified, scanned link from a trusted member.

3. What I cannot do

Part 4: The Architects of Memory – Who Creates These Repacks?

The people behind "PTV Drama List Old Repack" are unsung cultural heroes. They are typically:

  1. The Expats (Urdu-speaking diaspora): Based in the UK, USA, Canada, and UAE, they had access to early VCRs and recorded dramas off-air in the 80s and 90s. Their collections form the bedrock of most repacks.
  2. The "Cassette Wali Gali" Collectors: In cities like Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, there existed underground markets where old TV recordings were traded on VHS and later CD-Rs. These collectors digitized their hoards as physical media decayed.
  3. The Tech-Savvy Archivist: Usually a young Pakistani software engineer or IT student who understands codecs, containers (MKV vs. MP4), compression (x265 for quality, x264 for compatibility), and file hosting. They gather the disparate rips, normalize volume, remove excessive tracking noise (to a degree), and then "repack" them into a coherent, labeled folder structure.

These individuals operate in a legal gray area, sharing copyrighted material without permission. However, their ethical argument is powerful: We are saving what you have abandoned.

2. Video and Audio Quality (The Mixed Bag)

Because these are "repacks" and not official remasters by PTV, the quality is inconsistent.
