Build 39 is obsolete (released 2018). The current stable version is Build 41 (with multiplayer). Build 42 is in unstable beta.
You would only need Build 39 for:

• Playing specific old mods that never updated.
• Running on extremely low-end/old hardware (32-bit systems? Build 39 was the last with 32-bit support).
• Replaying the classic “pre-animation” gameplay.
