The Group Shower Gossip (Dormitory Edition)
Back in my dorm days, the common bathroom was basically a chismisan hot zone.
You’d hear from three cubicles away: General Review Approach When reviewing a video or
- Who passed the exam (and who cheated — hala).
- Why Jowa ni Maricon was seen with Jowa ni Jasmin at 7/11.
- And the legendary: “Yung conditioner ko, ginamit niya ulit nang hindi nagpapaalam. Condi-ti-nor?! Condi-‘di-niya akin!”
Shower time = truth time.
The “Chicka Ba” Rule
Now, chicka ba — if we’re inventing slang here — is that special kind of chika that’s so juicy, so random, and so sabaw (soup-y, as in shallow but entertaining), it’s perfect for the shower.
Examples of Chicka Ba:
- “Alam mo ba si Kris Aquino, nag-shower daw ng 5 hours nung broken-hearted siya? Eme lang.”
- “Yung sabon ni boss, amoy lalaking hindi naglalaba ng brief — sabi ng HR.”
- “Bakit kaya laging maubos ang hot water pag Monday? Conspiracy?”
Walang lalim. Walang katotohanan. Pero nakakatawa? Oo.
The Golden Rule of Bathroom Boso
If you overhear chika ba in the shower?
You are legally and morally required to:
- Not confront the person mid-shampoo.
- Share it with at least one trusted friend (but change the names, pls).
- Never say “I heard you while you were naked.”
That’s just weird.
