How to Unlock Kurohomura’s New in v051

The community is currently divided over the unlock requirements. Unlike previous versions where a simple gamepass purchase sufficed, v051 demands skill.

To unlock Kurohomura’s New, you must:

  1. Reach Level 100 on any standard class.
  2. Defeat the "Void Kurohomura" boss in the Forest of Death at exactly midnight (in-game time).
  3. Collect 5 "Tears of the Cursed" by losing duels intentionally while using the base Cursed Seal mode. (This mechanic is brutal: you must fail to succeed).
  4. Finally, solve the "Mirror Riddle" in the Hidden Rain Village lobby, which requires typing a specific haiku related to Uchiha betrayal.

Upon completion, you unlock a variant that cannot be traded or sold. It is permanently bound to your account as a trophy of suffering.

How to Counter Kurohomura’s New

For the 99% of players who don't have the form yet, do not despair. The v051 patch introduced two hard counters:

  1. The Puppet User (Chikamatsu): Puppets are not affected by "Eternal Stasis" because they lack intent. A skilled puppet main can attack Kurohomura while he is trapped in his own animation.
  2. The Pacifist Scroll: A new consumable item in v051. Using it prevents you from attacking for 10 seconds, but it also nullifies "Kurohomura’s Greed" passive, starving the user of chakra.
