Players: 2 (a couple)
Ages: 18+ (adult content)
Time: 30–90 minutes (your choice) 🔧 Setup
🔧 Setup
- Place the board between you.
- Each pick a piece & put it on “Hello” (start).
- Shuffle each card deck separately (Romance, Hot, Spicy, Steamy).
- Decide who goes first.
Critiques / What Could Be Better
- The Time Limit: While I praised it earlier, for some couples, 30 minutes feels too rushed. If you are having a particularly good time, the timer going off can be a buzzkill. (House rule: Ignore the timer if you want!).
- The "Winner": The game technically has a winner (whoever lands on the most "Monogamy" squares), but this is a cooperative game disguised as competitive. If you play to win, you are playing it wrong.
- Space Requirements: You need a flat surface to play, which confines you to a table or floor. This limits where the "date night" can happen compared to a simple deck of cards you could take to a hotel balcony or bath.
Short Play (30-45 min)
Start on the Bedroom zone. Skip Honeymoon entirely.
🎲 How to Play
On your turn:
- Roll the die.
- Move your piece forward that many spaces.
- Follow the space’s instruction (see below).
- If the timer runs out on a timed challenge, you lose a turn next round.
Step 5: Reaching the Honeymoon Suite
The final space is the Honeymoon Suite (replacing a standard “Finish” square). The game does not end immediately. Instead:
- The first player to land exactly on the Honeymoon Suite draws one Purple Steamy Card and one Blue Wild Card – they must combine both challenges.
- After completing the combined challenge, that player “checks in.” The other player then has three turns to also reach the Honeymoon Suite.
- If both reach it: Congratulations. The game officially ends. You may then choose a final “Grand Finale” from any deck.
- If only one reaches it: The game continues until both have visited the Suite. No one “wins” alone.
MONOGAMY: THE INTIMATE COUPLES GAME
For 2 Players (Ages 18+)
Object: Complete the journey from Honeymoon to Lifetime of Bliss by exploring three levels of intimacy.
HOUSE RULES YOU CAN ADD
- Double Roll: Roll doubles? Take another turn.
- No Skipping: Safeword can be used max 3 times per game.
- Drinking Version: Replace “kiss” with “take a sip” – but this is not official.
Pro Tips for the Best Game Night
- Set the Mood: Dim lights, soft music, and maybe a drink (but not too many—you need consent and focus).
- Agree on a Safe Word: Even though you can skip cards, a safe word like "red light" ensures comfort.
- Start with Romance Only: If it's your first time, remove the Extreme (black) deck entirely.
- Don't Rush: The game says 30–90 minutes, but seasoned players often take 2+ hours. That's a good thing.
