I can give you the exact steps to clear any remaining goals! LCPT 0.2.999 is released! - Lovely Craft by Crime
The Correct Process
- Lure a zombie into the corridor using raw meat (zombies ignore meat? Use villager sounds or just let them pathfind naturally).
- Let the zombie step onto the stone pressure plate.
- The pistons extend, pushing the zombie into the opposite block.
- Result A (Achievement unlocked): The zombie is now stuck between two extended pistons, taking suffocation damage. It dies within 5 seconds. You get the achievement the moment it cannot move.
- Result B (No achievement): The zombie dies instantly from "piston crush" (a rare bug) – if you see red particles instead of grey suffocation particles, reload the world.
1. The Mob is Wrong
Lovely Craft adds “Friendly Spirits” that look like mobs but are invincible to traps. Use a standard Zombie or Skeleton (spawn with a spawn egg from JEI).
Phase 2: The Installation (The Infiltration)
You circle the base until you find the weak point: a basement extension near the treasure room. You dig through the dirt, careful not to make a sound. You are now inside the walls. This is where the guide becomes engineering. Lure a zombie into the corridor using raw
Step 1: The Bait Silas loves his loot. You decide to place the trigger right in front of his main chest.
- Action: Break the floor block directly in front of the chest.
- Narrative: You aren't just digging a hole; you are creating a moment of hesitation.
Step 2: The Mechanics The "Lovely Craft" achievement requires a piston to push a trap entity into the player or the player into a trap.
- Action: Place the Sticky Piston facing upward or outward (depending on the mod configuration). If this is a floor trap, place the piston facing up beneath the floor level.
- Action: Place the Trap Block on the piston head.
- Narrative: The piston is the muscle. The trap block is the teeth. You are wiring a jaw.
Step 3: The Wiring You need a trigger. You could use a pressure plate, but Silas is smart. He checks for those. You opt for a Lever hidden behind a nearby bookshelf, or you wire it to the chest itself (if the mod allows container interaction).
- Action: Run Redstone dust from the piston to your trigger point. Hide the dust under carpet or slabs.
- Narrative: You hide the veins of the beast. To the naked eye, the floor looks solid. The chest looks inviting.
5. Test it
- Walk over the fake floor → nothing happens yet.
- Pull the lever → pistons retract → victim falls in.
- Achievement unlocked!
Quick cactus trap build:
- Place cactus on sand.
- Put a piston 1 block away from it.
- Lure a chicken or zombie between them.
- Activate piston → mob gets pushed into cactus → POP – achievement earned!
2.3 Materials Needed
You will need the following items (all obtainable in survival mode):
| Item | Quantity | Notes | |------|----------|-------| | Piston (standard) | 2 | Sticky pistons optional but helpful | | Redstone dust | 8 | | | Redstone repeater | 1 | | | Pressure plate (stone or wood) | 1 | Stone is better for mob detection | | Solid blocks (cobblestone) | 20 | For trap walls | | Lever or button | 1 | For testing | | Torch | 2 | Lighting so you can see | | A hostile mob | 1+ | Zombie or skeleton recommended |
âť— Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix | |---------|-----| | Piston won’t move | Check redstone connection; add more redstone dust | | No achievement pop-up | Make sure damage happens after the push, not before | | Mobs avoid trap | Use bait (seeds for chickens, meat for wolves) |
2.2 Recommended World Settings
- Difficulty: Normal or Hard (Peaceful spawns no mobs).
- Achievement tracking: Enabled in the pause menu > Settings > Profile.
- Cheats: Off (using
/givefor piston materials disables the achievement for that session).
