Basic workflow with LaserDRW 2013.02

  1. Prepare artwork: use a vector editor (Inkscape, Illustrator) to produce clean paths or a high-contrast bitmap.
  2. Import into LaserDRW: choose image or vector import and set size/scale.
  3. Configure engraving parameters: select line vs fill, set hatch spacing, and adjust speed/power equivalents.
  4. Preview paths: check that lines are continuous and fills are as expected.
  5. Export: choose the output format your controller accepts or export an intermediate format for conversion.
  6. Test run: on your machine do a dry-run (laser off or at minimal power) to verify motion paths.
  7. Final engraving: run at appropriate power and speed settings.
