5.1 Renewal Cycle

  1. T-minus 30 days: The appliance logs warning messages regarding license expiry.
  2. T-minus 0 days: The license expires. Depending on configuration, the firewall may cease passing traffic or disable subscription-based features (IDS/IPS, Gateway AV).
  3. Renewal: The administrator must obtain a new file from the portal (repeat Step 3 above) and upload it.

2. The Licensing Architecture

Step 3 – Apply the License File to Kerio Control

  1. Transfer the .lic file back to the offline Kerio Control machine (USB is fine).
  2. In the Kerio Control admin UI, go again to LicenseChange LicenseOffline activation.
  3. Click Upload license file and select the .lic file.
  4. Apply the license. You should see “License activated successfully” .
