Feature Title: License Consistency & Anomaly Resolution Engine
Method 2: Manually Delete the SolidWorks License Cache Files
If SolidWorks Rx is not available or fails, perform a manual cleanup.
Steps:
- Ensure SolidWorks and all related processes (e.g.,
swactwiz.exe,SLDWorks.exe) are closed. Use Task Manager to kill any remaining processes. - Open File Explorer and enable "Hidden items" (View → Hidden items).
- Navigate to the following folders and delete all contents (not the folders themselves):
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet– Look for files namedSW_D_*.dataorswdata.lic.C:\ProgramData\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS 2020\licenses– Delete everything inside.C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\SolidWorks\– Delete any.licor.swactfiles.
- Open Registry Editor (type
regeditin Windows search, run as administrator). - Navigate to:
Delete any keys related to SolidWorks 2020.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\Licenses HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SolidWorks\Licenses HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager - Restart your PC.
- Launch SolidWorks and reactivate.
Step 5: Address Windows Defender Credential Guard (For Error 544)

- Open Group Policy Editor (
gpedit.msc). - Navigate to: Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → System → Device Guard.
- Double-click Turn on Virtualization Based Security.
- Set it to Disabled.
- Restart your PC.
Solution 4: Update the License Server
- Contact your IT department or license administrator to ensure the license server is up-to-date and correctly configured.
- Verify that the license server is running and accessible.
