If you need to reinstall or remove it:

Part 8: Uninstalling MATLAB R2018b Cleanly
Because MATLAB installs many files (licenses, preferences, toolboxes), a simple drag-to-trash leaves junk.
For macOS (High Sierra / Mojave)
Note: If you are running macOS Catalina or newer, MATLAB 2018b is not supported. Use a virtual machine (VMware Fusion/VirtualBox) with Mojave installed.
- Double-click the downloaded
R2018b_maci64.dmgor mount the ISO. - Double-click
InstallForMacOSX.app.- If macOS blocks it: Right-click the app → Open (bypasses Gatekeeper).
- Enter your administrator password.
- The same MathWorks login and product selection screen appears (see Windows steps #3–6).
- Destination Folder:
/Applications/Polyspace/R2018bis default (yes, they put it in a Polyspace folder for legacy reasons). - During installation, you may see a prompt to install Xcode Command Line Tools – click Install (required for some MEX functions).
- After installation, you will find
MATLAB_R2018b.appin your Applications folder. Drag it to the Dock for easy access.
