If you want to perform a simple calculation to get an answer to a specific question ("Fulaan kaam kab hoga?"), follow this established formula:

Calculate Total Values: Find the Abjad numerical values for the following: The Questioner's Name (and mother's name)

The Subject of the Question (e.g., "Marriage," "Job," "Travel") The Day and Hour the question is asked

Simplify to a Single Digit: Add all these values together. If the sum is greater than 9, divide it by 9 or keep adding the digits until you reach a single number (1–9). Interpret the Result: 1: Result may not be favorable or will be delayed. 2: Success will come after some pause or wait. 3: Quick success or immediate fulfillment.

Taaq (Odd) vs Juft (Even): Generally, odd numbers are associated with "Yes" or "Truth," while even numbers may indicate "No" or "Falsehood" depending on the specific method used.  Ilm Ul Adad Sab K Liye | PDF - Scribd Searching for an exclusive guide on Ilm ul

2. The Foundation: The Abjad Table (Qaida)

Before learning how to answer questions, you must memorize the Abjad values. This is the alphabet of Ilm ul Adad.

| Letter | Value | Letter | Value | Letter | Value | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Alif (ا) | 1 | Sad (ص) | 90 | Qaf (ق) | 100 | | Bay (ب) | 2 | Dad (ض) | 800 | Kaf (ک) | 20 | | Jeem (ج) | 3 | Tua (ط) | 9 | Gaf (گ) | 20* | | Dal (د) | 4 | Zua (ظ) | 900 | Lam (ل) | 30 | | Hay (ہ) | 5 | Ain (ع) | 70 | Meem (م) | 40 | | Wao (و) | 6 | Ghain (غ) | 1000 | Noon (ن) | 50 | | Zay (ز) | 7 | Fe (ف) | 80 | Wao (و) | 6 | | Hay (ح) | 8 | | | Choti Hay (ھ) | 5 | | Toy (ت) | 400 | | | Toay (ط) | 9 | | Ya (ی) | 10 | | | Zoy (ظ) | 900 | | Khey (خ) | 600 | | | Ain (ع) | 70 | | Dal (ذ) | 700 | | | Ghain (غ) | 1000 | | Ray (ر) | 200 | | | Fe (ف) | 80 | | Zay (ز) | 7 | | | Qaf (ق) | 100 | | Seen (س) | 60 | | | Kaf (ک) | 20 | | Sheen (ش) | 300 | | | Lam (ل) | 30 |

(Note: Values are based on the standard Abjad sequence. Some variations exist in different schools of thought, but the standard is preferred.)

The Case AGAINST Laity Using PDFs:

  • Authenticity problem: 99% of PDFs online contain errors in Abjad values or division rules.
  • Lack of spiritual purification: True Ilm ul Adad requires wudu, dhikr, and spiritual discipline. A PDF gives none of that.
  • The placebo effect: Often, the “answer” is so vague that it fits any situation (known as the Barnum effect).
  • Potential for shirk: If you believe numbers independently decide your fate without Allah’s will, it becomes forbidden (haram).

Islamic verdict (summary): Most contemporary scholars (including Dr. Zakir Naik, Mufti Taqi Usmani) say that using Ilm ul Adad for fortune-telling is haram because it resembles divination. However, studying numbers as a historical or mathematical science is permissible. A Comprehensive Guide to Solving Life’s Questions through

2. The Methodology: How the Question is Processed

When a specific question (Sawal) is presented to a practitioner of Ilm ul Adad, the answer (Jawab) is derived through a structured, almost mathematical spiritual process. Here is how the transformation occurs:

Step A: The Conversion (Taksir) The question or the subject’s name is broken down into its constituent letters and converted into numbers using the Abjad scale. For example:

  • Alif = 1
  • Ba = 2
  • Jim = 3
  • ...and so forth up to Ghain (1000).

Step B: The Calculation The numbers are summed to find a total value. This total is often reduced to a single root number or cross-referenced with planetary alignments, specific Quranic verses, or the "Table of Answers" (Zaicha).

Step C: The Interpretation The resulting number is interpreted based on four key variables:

  1. Elements (Anasir): Is the number dominated by Fire, Air, Water, or Earth? This determines the nature of the outcome (e.g., quick success, emotional turmoil, stability).
  2. Planetary Influence: Which planet rules the number? (e.g., Sun for leadership, Mercury for communication).
  3. Odd and Even (Zoj and Farad): Odd numbers often signify masculine, active energy, while even numbers signify feminine, receptive energy.
