3. If You Need a New Code
In some secure environments (especially government-related HAP systems), an automatic update is not allowed. You may need to: hap 51 authorization code upd
- Contact your Administrator: Request a new "Authorization Code" or "Secure Key."
- Manual Entry: If you have been provided a new code via email or secure letter, look for a field labeled "Enter Authorization Code" in the startup screen or under File > Properties > Authorization.
What is changing?
- Old Authorization Code:
HAP51-LEGACY-[OLD_SUFFIX] (will be deprecated)
- New Authorization Code:
HAP51-UPD-[NEW_UNIQUE_ID]
The new code includes stronger encryption standards and an updated checksum algorithm to align with current security protocols. Subject: Procedure for Updating Authorization Codes (HAP 51)
Step 5 – Update Cloud / CAPsMAN Settings
If the device is managed centrally:
- Re-enter the controller’s shared secret or auth code under CAPsMAN → Interfaces.
- Or under Cloud → DDNS / Authentication Token, reissue and apply the token.
8) Audit & compliance
- Log issuance, redemption, failed validation, revocation with timestamp, client_id, user_id, request_ip, user_agent, and reason.
- Ensure logs are write-once and access-controlled.
- Provide admin UI to search by user_id, client_id, code_id, date range, and event type.
Specific Change Log:
- Template Updated: Billing software (e.g., Epic, NextGen, Availity) mapping for Payer 51 changed from
REF*EW to REF*G1.
- Code Validation: System now checks that the auth code matches the regex
[0-9]10 before submission.
- Testing: 15 test claims submitted. Acceptance rate increased from 0% to 100% for auth-related edits.
