Graal Era Upload Guide
A. File Specifications
- Format:
.png(Portable Network Graphics). GIF support exists but is deprecated and unstable for modern usage. Do not use JPEG due to lossy compression artifacts ruining pixel art edges. - Color Mode: RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha).
- Critical: The Alpha channel is mandatory for transparency. Graal does not support "green screening" or chroma keying for standard sprites.
- Bit Depth: 32-bit (Standard for modern PNGs).
Step 2: Locate the Upload Kiosk
Navigate to the Era Upload Shop (often located near the start park or south of the main bridge). Look for a building with a computer icon or the "Upload" sign.
5. "Too Similar to Default"
If your edit is just a recolor of the default noob head, an admin may reject it for lack of effort. graal era upload
The Mechanism
- Creation: A player creates a 16x16 head (or a body).
- Submission: The player does not upload directly to the server. They upload the image to the GraalOnline forums or a specific submission portal.
- Review: Staff reviews the image for appropriateness and guideline adherence.
- Assignment: If approved, staff assigns the image a File ID.
- Application: The player uses an in-game command (e.g.,
sethead [ID]) or applies the code in their profile. The client then requests the file associated with that ID from the server.
This closed loop prevents malicious files from entering the server and prevents the server storage from being flooded with unused assets. Graal Era Upload Guide A
