4. No Vibration/Rumble
- Many generic V3 gamepads do not have vibration motors, or they only vibrate in X-Input mode. Ensure the switch on the back is set to "X-Input" and check the game settings to ensure "Vibration" is enabled.
What it is and why it matters
- Definition: a PC driver package (and often companion utility) that enables a gamepad labeled “Gamepad Plus V3” to be recognized by Windows, exposes all buttons/axes, provides mapping/firmware updates, and may add features (XInput emulation, vibration, macro support).
- Purpose: ensures correct button mapping, supports vibration/haptics, implements XInput (for older DirectInput-only pads), and provides vendor firmware/compatibility fixes.
- When required: first-time use, after Windows reinstall or update, when features (rumble, triggers, gyro) don’t work, or when using the pad with games that expect XInput.
Step 1 – Identify Your Manufacturer
Check the back of the controller or the original packaging. Look for a small sticker with a model number (e.g., GP-V3, EP-3368, or AC-2000). Common manufacturers include:
- EasySMX (model 9100 or 9013)
- Krom (Krom Plus v3)
- PXN (PXN-2113 or similar)
Back paddles and turbo do nothing on PC
- Fix: The V3’s back paddles are hardware-mapped to existing buttons (e.g., P1 = A, P2 = B) by default. Use the controller’s onboard programming (usually hold Turbo + the paddle + target button) – this is stored on the controller, not in PC software. No Windows driver enables extra paddle mapping unless the manufacturer provides a configuration app.
Issue #2: Vibration (Rumble) Not Working
Fix: The generic HID driver lacks force feedback. Revisit Part 4, Option B to switch to the Xbox 360 driver. Then test in a game like Rocket League or Dark Souls – or use the “Test Vibration” in x360ce (Xbox 360 Controller Emulator). gamepad plus v3 pc driver

- Haptic Calibration: Adjust the intensity of left and right rumble motors independently.
- Haptic Feedback Conversion: (For supported controllers) Convert in-game audio cues into tactile controller vibrations, allowing you to feel footsteps, engine RPMs, and environmental effects.
To update:
- Device Manager → Right-click your controller → Properties → Driver tab.
- Click Update Driver → Search automatically.
- If Windows finds nothing, return to the retailer’s page for a new driver package.
