- Check part metadata – Some parts are designed for PCB view only, missing breadboard/schematic views.
Troubleshooting: When the Part Breaks
You installed the part, but the schematic view looks like a tangled knot of wires, or the PCB view refuses to route traces. What happened?
- Pin Mismatch: The person who created the part labeled the pins "1,2,3" but your real component uses "A0, A1, A2." You will have to edit the part in the "Part Editor" (right-click the part -> Edit).
- Missing Metadata: Some older parts (pre-2018) do not work well with Fritzing’s auto-router. You may need to manually route traces on the PCB tab.
