Forza Horizon 2 Save - Editor [patched] Full

Modding your Forza Horizon 2 save file is primarily possible on the Xbox 360 version by using a USB flash drive and specialized PC software like Horizon or dedicated Forza Save Editors. Due to fundamental differences in how the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions were developed, save data cannot be transferred between these two consoles.  Required Tools  USB Flash Drive: Formatted for use on your Xbox 360.

Horizon: A popular Xbox 360 tool used to "rehash and resign" save files so the console recognizes them after they've been edited.

Forza Horizon 2 Save Editor: Specific software that allows you to modify the actual values within your save file.  Step-by-Step Guide for Xbox 360

Transfer Save to USB: On your Xbox 360, go to System Settings > Storage and move or copy your Forza Horizon 2 save file from your hard drive to the USB drive.

Open in Editor: Plug the USB into your PC. Open your save editor and load the save file from the USB.

Apply Modifications: Use the editor to change desired values. Common features include: Credits: Max out your in-game currency. Fast Travel: Enable free fast travel across the map.

Garage Mods: Change car parts using hex codes (e.g., swapping suspension types or removing bumpers and hoods). forza horizon 2 save editor full

Save and Resign: Save the changes in the editor. Open Horizon, drag your modified save into it, and click "Save, Rehash, and Resign". This step is critical to prevent the console from seeing the file as corrupted.

Finalize: Move the save file back to your Xbox 360 hard drive or load it directly from the USB in-game.  Important Considerations

Ban Risk: Modding save files carries a high risk of being banned from online features. Use these tools primarily for offline, single-player enjoyment.

Compatibility: These methods do not work for the Xbox One version of the game because the console's save encryption is significantly more secure and relies on cloud syncing.

Backup Your Data: Always create a backup of your original, unmodded save file before attempting any edits in case the file becomes corrupted during the process.  How to Mod Forza Horizon 2 With a USB [XBOX 360]

How to Use a Save Editor (360 Version)

Assuming you have found a legitimate tool: Modding your Forza Horizon 2 save file is

  1. Extract your save: Use a USB drive or download from Xbox 360 cloud saves via Horizon (the old tool).
  2. Back it up: Seriously. Copy the SaveData file to your desktop.
  3. Open the Editor: Load the .dat file into the FH2 Save Editor.
  4. Modify: Change values. Pro tip: Don't max out every stat at once. Start with 50M credits and 200 spins.
  5. Fix Checksum: The "Full" editor does this automatically. If it doesn't, the save will show as "Corrupted" on boot.
  6. Rehash & Resign: You need a tool like Le Fluffie or Modio to reattach the save to your Gamertag.
  7. Play offline first. Load the game while disconnected from Xbox Live to verify the cars exist.

Part 4: The "Full" Feature Deep Dive

What separates the cracked "Full" version from the trial versions?

Unlocking the Ultimate Garage: A Deep Dive into the Forza Horizon 2 Save Editor (Full Version)

If you’ve spent hundreds of hours drifting through the French countryside or racing trains in Italy, you know the grind for credits and rare cars in Forza Horizon 2 is real. While the game is a last-gen masterpiece (Xbox 360 & One), the community has kept it alive with modding tools.

One of the most searched—and elusive—tools is the Forza Horizon 2 Save Editor (Full Version) . But does it live up to the hype? Is it safe? Let’s break down what this tool actually does and how veteran players are using it in 2025.

Part 6: Comparison Table – Free vs. Trial vs. Full

| Feature | Stock Game | Free Save Editor | Full Save Editor | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Max Credits | 999,999,999 | 50,000,000 | 999,999,999 | | DLC Cars | Paywall (Dead store) | 10 Cars | All 120+ DLC | | Unicorn Cars | No | No | Yes (12 models) | | Engine Swap Limit | Realistic | Semi-Realistic | Unlimited (Any engine) | | Online Profile Hex | Original | Corrupted (Risk of ban) | Spoofed (Stealth) | | Price | $0 | Free | Usually $10-$20 or Cracked |

1. The Developer Cars

The full editor grants access to Car IDs 0-50, which are normally locked. These include:

  • Traffic AI Cars (Unplayable normally, but drivable via edit).
  • The "Forza Police" Crown Victoria (With working light bar animations).
  • No-Clip Cameras (For photography mode).

4. Why “Full” Save Editors for FH2 Don’t Really Exist

  • Most public tools are scams or outdated (game released in 2014).
  • Any working editor would require decryption keys that aren’t publicly available for Xbox One.
  • For Xbox 360, the few existing tools (like Forza Horizon 2 Save Editor v1.0) have limited features and high ban risk.

The Xbox 360 Version

This is where save editing is most common. The Xbox 360 security architecture is older and has been widely exploited by the modding community. "Full" save editors exist for the Xbox 360 version, but using them usually requires: How to Use a Save Editor (360 Version)

  1. Moving your save file from the console to a USB drive.
  2. Using a program like Horizon or Modio on a PC to rehash and resign the save file after editing.
  3. Transferring the save back to the console.

3. General Steps (For Xbox 360 Version Only – No Longer Supported)

For educational purposes only – do not attempt if you want to keep your account safe.

  1. Extract save

    • Use a USB drive formatted for Xbox 360.
    • Copy the Forza Horizon 2 save from Storage → Games & Apps to the USB.
    • On PC, use tools like Horizon or Modio to extract the SaveData.dat.
  2. Edit save

    • Open the file in a save editor (if available – most are outdated/broken).
    • Modify values (e.g., money, garage IDs).
    • Rehash/resign the save to match your console/profile ID.
  3. Re-inject

    • Write the modified save back to USB, then copy to Xbox 360.

Note: The Xbox One version has encrypted saves that are nearly impossible to edit without developer-level access.
