Firmware Acer Sospiro A60 Direct
Firmware Analysis and Update Guide for the Acer Sospiro A60
3. Where to Find Working Firmware
- Needrom.com – Search "Acer Sospiro A60" (free after registration)
- XDA Developers Forums – Check under "Acer Liquid Z6 Plus" (often same firmware)
- Acer Mobile Support (India/APAC) – Some regional Acer sites host Sospiro firmware.
Issue 3: Performance Throttling
- Analysis: The A60 firmware includes MediaTek's "CorePilot" technology. However, due to the "Go Edition" OS, background processes are aggressively killed.
- Firmware Tweak: Developers can modify the
build.prop file within the system partition to adjust ro.sys.fw.bg_apps_limit (increasing background app allowance), though this may cause UI lag due to RAM constraints.
Method 2: SD Card Update (For devices that still enter Recovery)
- Copy the official
update.zip firmware file to the root of a microSD card.
- Insert the SD card into the Acer Sospiro A60.
- Boot into Recovery Mode: Press Power + Volume Up (or Volume Down) simultaneously.
- Select “Apply update from SD card” using the volume keys.
- Navigate to the
update.zip and select it.
- Wait for the installation to finish, then select “Wipe data/factory reset” followed by “Reboot system now.”
4. Test Hardware
- Make a test call (speaker and earpiece).
- Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Open the camera (front and rear).
- Test the accelerometer by rotating the screen.
