Download Google Chrome for Windows 8.1 (64-bit) – Offline Installer
If you’re still running Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and need to install or reinstall Google Chrome without an active internet connection (or across multiple computers), the standard online stub installer won’t work. You need the offline installer.
Important Note: Microsoft ended official support for Windows 8.1 on January 10, 2023. Google Chrome continued to support Windows 8.1 for a while, but as of Chrome 109 (released in early 2023), Chrome no longer releases updates for Windows 8.1. Important: Windows 8.1 End-of-Life Notice
- Final Chrome version for Windows 8.1: Chrome 109 (released January 2023).
- Chrome 109 will continue working for some time but will not receive new feature updates.
- Security updates for Chrome 109 ended around early 2024.
- Recommendation: Consider upgrading to Windows 10 or 11 for continued browser security.

Step 3: Run as Administrator (Recommended)
- Locate
ChromeStandaloneSetup64.exe. - Right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
- If a User Account Control (UAC) popup appears, click Yes.
Step 4: Verify Version (Optional)
After installation:

chrome://settings/help - You should see Version 109.x.x.x (the last version for Windows 8.1).
