Dil Hi Toh Hai Season 1 May 2026
Overall Verdict: A Guilty Pleasure Soap Opera
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Dil Hi Toh Hai is not trying to be high art. It is a quintessential "pyaar, dhadkan, aur family drama" web series designed for binge-watching on a lazy weekend. If you miss the melodrama of early 2000s Hindi TV serials but with modern production values and fewer saas-bahu tracks, this is for you. dil hi toh hai season 1
Why “Dil Hi Toh Hai” Stood Out
What Works Well
- Kushal Tandon’s Screen Presence: He fits the "angry yet heartbroken rich boy" role perfectly. His chemistry with both female leads is believable.
- Yogita Bihani (Pihu): She brings innocence without being irritating. Her middle-class struggles and quiet strength anchor the show.
- Pacing: Unlike TV soaps, episodes are crisp. The drama moves quickly – no endless ghar ka chakkar.
- Music: The title track and background score are surprisingly good for a web series.
Characters & Performances
- Karan Kundra as Ritvik Noon – Kundra brings a restrained, brooding intensity to Ritvik. His evolution from a docile son to a man fighting for his love is the show’s backbone.
- Yogita Bihani as Pankhuri Khurana – Yogita shines as the spirited, sometimes impulsive heroine. Her emotional range — from joyous rebellion to heartbreak — is impressive.
- Zara Khan as Aarohi – Not just a “other woman,” Aarohi is layered — initially sympathetic, later manipulative. Zara plays the grey shade well.
- Vikram Singh Chauhan as Sameer – Pankhuri’s supportive best friend, adding warmth and comic relief.
- Kishori Shahane & Sachin Tyagi as Ritvik’s parents — effective as the traditional, authoritarian family heads.
