Part 3: The Slaughterhouse – Dark Magic Trail
Objective: Find the source of the magic residue.

- Downstairs: You find a makeshift altar with:
- A ritual knife (clean – not the murder weapon).
- A diary written in Old English (use Translate spell).
- Diary reveals someone is trying to summon a “shadow beast” by recreating Jack the Ripper’s murders.
- Interruption – A creature attacks (quick-time event: dodge left → strike with Lancelot’s sword). Afterward, take the obsidian shard from its remains.
Note: The shard is a key item for the final ritual disruption.

Objective: Confront the master vampire.
-
Puzzles:
- Door 1 (Blood lock) – Use Lancelot’s blood (click on Lancelot → “Draw blood”).
- Door 2 (Sunlight mirror) – Adjust mirrors to reflect a beam onto the central crystal. Order: Top-left → Bottom-right → Middle.
- Door 3 (Riddle) – “I have no voice but I tell all, I have no legs but I climb.” Answer: “Stairs”.
-
Final confrontation:
- Use silver stake (from Ch.3) + holy water (from Galahad).
- Dialogue choices:
- “You were once human” → sympathy path (spare them)
- “For the women you killed” → vengeful path (kill them)
Puzzle 2 – Distracting the Night Guard (Morgana)
- Switch to Morgana via the polished brass bedpan on the wall (acts as a mirror).
- Use Fey Glamour to appear as a grieving widow. Speak to the guard. Select: “I need to identify my husband’s body. Please, it’s too painful for a woman alone.” He leaves.
- While he’s gone, search his coat hanging on the rack. Take the Morgue Key.
Part 1: Whitechapel – The First Crime Scene
Objective: Investigate the murder of Mary Ann Nichols. Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey —
- Arrive at Buck’s Row – Speak to Sergeant Thick (guards the alley). He’s uncooperative at first.
- Use Fey’s magic (click the raven icon) → Sense emotions. You’ll detect fear and a faint trace of dark magic.
- Examine the body (covered by sheet):
- Left side: Torn dress fabric (take it).
- Ground near the fence: A boot print with a unique heel shape (use Trace Magic to highlight it).
- Talk to the witness (a nervous woman near the lamp post). Give her a coin (or use Fey’s Persuade) to learn she heard a “soft rustle like wings” before the scream.
- Return to Sergeant Thick – Show him the fabric. He’ll mention “The Prince’s Club” as a place where women reported missing.
Transition: Go to The Prince’s Club (map screen).
Puzzle 1 – The Locked Ledger (Lancelot)
The Medical Examiner is missing. His desk has a locked ledger with a 3-digit combination lock. Go to the abandoned slaughterhouse (East End map)
- Clue: Look at the calendar on the wall. The day of Mary Ann Nichols’ death is circled (August 31, 1888). The code is 31-8-88 but only the last three digits matter: 888.
- Inside the Ledger: You find a sketch of a curved, double-edged blade – a Bollock Dagger, typically Scottish, not English.
