Once the mod is running, the experience varies wildly depending on your hardware.

  • Resource Demands: Split-screen effectively runs two instances of the game logic simultaneously. This is highly CPU intensive. Even with a powerful modern GPU, users often report frame rate drops, stuttering, or texture pop-ins that do not exist in single-player.
  • Field of View (FOV): One of the most jarring issues is the vertical FOV. Since the screen is sliced horizontally, the view feels cramped. Modders have tried to address this with FOV changers, but it rarely feels as polished as a native console implementation.
