This update was not created by Ubisoft. It was reverse-engineered by CODEX to be compatible with their emulated DRM environment. In the warez scene, such updates are critical because many games won’t run newer mods or fix game-breaking bugs unless updated—yet pirates cannot authenticate to official servers.
