To activate Faronics Deep Freeze offline, you must apply the Activation Response File

you received after sending your initial request to Faronics. • The offline activation workflow for 2021 does not require the legacy “Offline Activator Tool” – that was deprecated after 2019.
• Response files are valid for 90 days from generation.
• If you reinstall the OS or change the motherboard, you must generate a new request file.

Once you have generated your request file and received the valid response file from the Faronics portal, follow these steps on the target machine.

6. Applying the Activation Response File on the Console

Back on the offline console machine:

1. In the Faronics Console, go again to Help → Activate Product → Offline Activation.
2. Choose “Apply Response File”.
3. Browse to the OfflineActivationResponse.farx file.
4. Click “Activate”.
5. The console performs local validation:
   • Signature verification using embedded Faronics public key
   • Matching of request ID and hardware ID
   • Check of expiration timestamp
6. Success message: “Product activated successfully. Remaining activations: X”.
